‘Children are telling us about seeing babies killed [as sacrifice], of killing animals, drinking urine and eating human flesh’, said one social worker of 17 years experience.

Psychiatrists report very real symptoms -depression, hallucinations, loss of control, fascination with death and
self-mutilation, personality damage - in patients involved with spiritism (ouija boards and seances), tarot, or black magic. It’s ‘very difficult to try to put a figure on the number of cases of mental illness as a result of dealings with spiritualism’ but ‘it is a very real problem…’ says Professor Andrew Sims, Dean of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
